This small but spacious 'granny flat' is in a lovely countryside area just 15 minutes drive from St Andrews and 10 minutes from Dundee. It is a lovely location for a weeks holiday break if you are touring North East Fife and is great for either University students or Lecturers who are either studying of lecturing at the University.

A chauffeur service is available for tennants or guests who wish to use the flat and there is a main bus route to Dundee and St.Andrews just 2 minutes walk away. We will be happy to offer the flat out to students or lecturers over Winter periods from October to April if anyone is interested, although we can do weekly lets as well for the above or parents of students who wish to stay for longer breaks.

Kirkton Barns Country HouseTestimonials

"Nice Hideaway in St Andrews"

We stayed at Kirkton Barns Country House for 3 nights, the room was large and well decorated. It was nice to feel at home and nothing was too much trouble for our host James. His father Rory is a lovely man with lots of stories. Both had great knowledge of the local area. I arrived by train and got a cab to the B&B. It was a nice walk each morning to the bus which stops at the end of the farm track. I plan to return again in October and look forward to my next visit.

How to get here

Kirkton Barns Country House is situated 15 minutes from St.Andrews, one mile south of Tayport just off the B945, between Tayport and St.Michaels. To get there from the Edinburgh direction, leave M90 at Milnathort and follow the A91 towards St.Andrews, via Cupar. After Dairsie turn left at the roundabout on the A92 go through Balmullo to St.Michaels, cross the junction onto the B945 and carry on towards Tayport past all the marinas. From Dundee cross the Tay Road Bridge, turn left to Tayport and at the junction take a right. Continue through Tayport towards St.Michaels
