"Friendly warm welcome, attention to detail, charm in abundance, beautiful surroundings" - Nothing to dislike about the place, we were very satisfied on every level. Rory the owner will ensure you have a fabulous stay. The farm house and garden has both charm and a sense of peace and tranquillity. Fabulous breakfasts! Great location for St Andrews Cannot recommend this place enough and will certainly like to stay there again.

"Excellent accommodations" - Directions for the location are clear, but driving can be challenging when one is unfamiliar with the area as well as the poor road markings. The accommodating host is an excellent cook, offers great touring suggestions and makes sure all needs are met. The home and farm have a wonderful ambiance. Very convenient for St Andrews & other coastal attractions.

"Country Tranquility" - The inn was a bit off the beaten path and on a dirt road. Host, Rory, was friendly and helpful with suggestions for things to do in the area. At breakfast he interacted and encouraged guest conversation which was very pleasant. Our room was large and wifi connection was good.

"Enjoyed our stay here ..." Dust: Had to clean the car afterwards :-) ...Actually there was almost nothing we disliked here. This home is quite central to many other places in this area. It is quiet being in the countryside - alongside working farm barns that gave no noise whatever. Parking is not a problem. There was a local eatery nearby that was recommended & although you need a car to get to it, was worth visiting ... Thanks Rory.

Kirkton Barns Country HouseTestimonials

"Nice Hideaway in St Andrews"

We stayed at Kirkton Barns Country House for 3 nights, the room was large and well decorated. It was nice to feel at home and nothing was too much trouble for our host James. His father Rory is a lovely man with lots of stories. Both had great knowledge of the local area. I arrived by train and got a cab to the B&B. It was a nice walk each morning to the bus which stops at the end of the farm track. I plan to return again in October and look forward to my next visit.
